Emily's Dance Outfits

Emily had pictures today for her dance class so I decided to take a couple of her all dressed up. Here is the one for the dance she is doing to "Do the Swim" and the one she is wearing when they do "Mr. Postman". My brother was nice enough to watch Cody for me so he didn't have to go with all the girls. When we got home I let him eat the bunny grandma gave him for Easter. I decided to take a photo of him with what was left of the bunny,
while doing that Emily came out of her room. She was so proud of the make-up job she had just done.

A spring weekend of fun

This weekend was back to a nice sunny weekend. Saturday we started the weekend off by heading to the zoo with boy scouts. I got one pic of the kids, but I also got some good ones of the animals we have. Here is the peacock, wolf and the tiger. After that we made a stop by my work and got some bread then headed down to go feed the ducks. There was a ton of baby ducks it was crazy. I forgot my camera and didn't realize it till we were in the woods already so I didn't get any photos of the park. After that we decided to head to another park to fly the kites the kids got for Easter. The wind was so perfect that we had no problems flying them. Cody and Emily thought it was the best thing ever, we stayed at the park for about a hour and half just flying the kites. Here's a few photos of them with the kites

along with a video. On Sunday morning the kids were outside with the sidewalk chalk and Emily wrote this all by herself and I just thought it was so cute. Later Cody went fishing again with Grandma, Tom and Jacob. He didn't get anything this time, none of them had much luck from what I'm told, but he has so much fun fishing. While he was out with Grandma Emily and I went to a bbq at Joey's house. We got to Joeys house shortly after that and had a blast. The food was very good, the company was a blast (anytime you get to laugh at someone starting a grill is a good time. His oldest girl and Emily just played and played all day long. They played so hard Emily went to sleep on the way to pick up Cody.

Easter 2009

This year we had kind a easy Easter. Emily woke up at about 11:30 and didn't want to go to bed, she just knew she would miss the egg hunting. Finally about 3:30 she went back to sleep and we where all up at 6:00 looking for eggs. Cody forgot all about getting a Easter basket. First thing he did was start grabbing eggs, after I pointed the basket out he was like oh yea and dropped the eggs. They each had just little baskets this year but they loved them, some outside stuff and one indoor toy. After we cleared the baskets it was off to find the eggs. The Easter bunny messed up and super hide two of Emily's eggs with the dollars in them, lucky we were able to find them.
After we finished up the kids got dressed and I tried to take a photo of them looking very pretty. Finally I gave up and moved us outside where they stood much better. Once we got the photo it was off to Mom's house, where there was another egg hunt waiting for them. The kids rounded up all the eggs and then we went to my Dads house to say hi. Somewhere in this photo you will see my Dad. After that it was back to Mom's for a ham dinner, where the kids played and played outside. The sun is finally out and spring if finally here in Montana

Egg Hunting

This weekend is Easter weekend and all around town had different egg hunts going on. So the kids and I decided to take a few of them in. The first stop was the zoo where they were having some activities. We had to stop and visit the easter bunny which Emily told me was the most important thing. We did a few games and some crafts then Cody wanted to feed the goats so we headed off that way. After feeding them we came across a good place to sit down for a moment. It was so pretty I couldnt help but take a photo. After that we decided to head to another egg hunt at a local school. This was the first real egg hunt of the day. Somehow we timed it where there was only about 10 mins till the kids got to hunt. We started the countdown then they where off, where i quickly lost where they went. Somehow I was able to find them both and was amazed by the number of eggs they got. After that one we headed up to another one at a park. This one had so many eggs they dropped them out of the helicopter. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen and the kids were so excited about it. While waiting for the egg hunt to start Cody climbed a rock wall and made it almost to the top. I was so proud of him, that wall was huge. Then the egg hunt started and once again I lost the kids and once again they came back with full baskets (and so did everyone around us). On the way out Emily had to stop and watch the dancers. She has really gotten into watching other people dance, she even loves the dancing with the stars show. Then it was time to head home and color eggs. I made the mistake of saying we would die the eggs and Cody wanted to know why we where killing eggs. The did a great job on the eggs and left them all out for the Easter Bunny.

Circus Time

We went to the circus on Thursday night. I let the kids each bring a friend. Emily wanted to bring Shayla. Cody asked Khy and his sister Sam to come. So we went and picked them all up, its a very good thing they are all on the smaller side. We get to the circus and get all our tickets then go in and try to find a place to sit, while not losing the kids in the processes. However Khy and Cody wanted to stop for a pic with the clown. Cody noticed Chuck E Cheese inside right before the photo took. They wanted to ride the elephant but with that many kids I didn't dare go into that crowd. We find a place to sit and the show starts. First up was the lions and boy where those cats mad. You could hear them growling over the music. Then came the rest of the show and I couldn't believe how good the kids were being. They sat there and just watched the show, laughing and pointing at different things. At half time we went and they each got to get a toy with what money they had left. One of the clowns came over and let Cody use the "ketchup" bottle and he thought that was the best thing ever. Once the show started they brought out the clowns, which were still the highlight of the night for Cody. Right after the clowns was Emily's favorite part, the princess that was singing and dancing around while the prince did the trick (she didn't care about the prince just the dancing princess). We left a little before the end and headed home, but it was a very fun night. They both are talking about wanting to go again.

Cute things the kids said this week

This week both the kids where thinking up all kinds of fun stuff to say. We were watching the new Tinkerbell movie one day and Cody lets me know "When I grow up I want to be a fairy". I would be worried about that but the reason he wanted to be a fairy was cuz one of them was spraying water everywhere. Then a few days later Emily comes home and tells me she has a boyfriend and his name is Khy. I said really why is he your boyfriend and she says "cuz hes cute". I let her know sorry no boyfriends till she is 30 and she let me know her friend Ashley has one and shes only 8. Its so cute what they say sometimes, but Im so not looking forward to the teen years. I caught Cody and Emily in a very sweet moment this week also. They were sitting there watching tv and this is how I found them when I came around from doing dishs.
